Situation and next step
| Situation | Sensible next step |
|---|---|
| Ordinary toilet paper | Use a reasonable amount and flush normally. |
| A wipe says flushable | Bin it unless the macerator manufacturer expressly permits it. |
| A foreign object entered | Stop use and describe the object to a repairer. |
A short rule for users
If it is not normal human waste or ordinary toilet paper, put it in a bin. Displaying this rule is particularly useful in guest, rental and workplace toilets.
Connected appliances
Only connect basins, showers, baths, kitchen or utility appliances when the exact macerator model is designed for them. Temperature and chemical limits may apply.
After an unsuitable item is flushed
Do not keep flushing to force it through. Stop connected fixtures and seek advice before the item causes greater obstruction or internal damage.
